In this session, we will discuss about all the IMS parameters that affect IMS scheduling. The benefit of using PWFI and WFI regions will be highlighted. We will go over IMS DC Monitor report to tune IMS scheduling. The goal of this session is to help IMS systems programmer to tune his/her system to reduce IMS CPU overhead, improve IMS throughputs and meet service level agreement (SLA) with minimum resource requirements.

Ulrich has been working with IMS and other mainframe subsystems at multiple companies for more than 30 years. In his current position as Principal Technical Consultant at BMC Software, he is focused on all of BMC’s IMS related products at EMEA level. He gave several  technical presentations as BMC representative in German GSE working groups and also on BMC user groups.
