GSE Nordic Steering committee invites you to a virtual event on June 8th 2021. Due to the pandemic, we have decided not to run a face-to-face event in 2021.This event will have 3 sessions we hope will be of some inspiration. Kindly note this will be NO COST event, but you have to register for it.

1410 -1510   Mainframe and Cloud, Tobias Leicher IBM 

Tobias started working with IBM Z during his corporate studies and it always kept him interested in the past 13 years. Starting with CICS and modernization of applications on the platform with java, he meanwhile works as architect for large customers in Banking and Insurance, mostly helping to modernize the platform and make IBM Z ready for the next 57 years. His areas of interest are Software Architecture, Development Languages and Transactional Systems

1525-1555    Pandemic - The effect on DNB and its challenges on IT Systems, Lessons learned and way forward, Terje Thorsen IT Director DNB T & S PFW 

Terje Thorsen enjoys roller coasters with his two boys, which is a good match for today’s business insecurity and up’s & down’s. He is head of the technology division in DNB that is responsible for Information Architecture;  the IT systems supporting data and the financial value chain; Wealth Management; and common group applications. After earning his degree in economics and producing national statistical analytical reports Terje has 16 years of experience from technology consulting and the IT software industry before he joined DNB. Modernization projects and digital transformation has been at the core of his experience from IBM, CA Technologies and Capgemini.

1600-1700    Mainframe and the Moon, Mark Nelson IBM US

Mark Nelson, CISSP®, CSSLP® is a Senior Software Engineer with IBM's z/OS® Security Server Design and Development Team in Poughkeepsie NY, where he has spent the past 32 years working on RACF®. Mark's focus with RACF has been on auditing and data analysis (IRRDBU00, IRRADU00, RACFICE), RACF's Health Checks, RACF/DB2, and RACF's support for digital certificates.

Mark is an active speaker on RACF, having spoken to user groups and IBM field representatives on four continents, and has received several SHARE "Best Session" awards, six-and-a-half "Top Gun/Best Session" awards from the Vanguard Enterprise Security Expo, three GSE "Best Vendor Session" awards, and was the 1999 recipient of the Vanguard "Chairman's Award".

Mark is a co-author of the book "Mainframe Security for Security Experts: A Introduction to RACF", has helped write several Redbooks, and has published articles in NaSPA's Technical Support, z/Journal, and IBM's Hot Topics. Mark is the director of the Mid-Hudson Valley IBM Club Chorus and a private pilot. Mark is also a world record holder in the "Hokey Pokey".
