Tom Ross(Captain COBOL) is a senior software engineer in IBM COBOL development.
Tom has spent his entire 36 year IBM career in COBOL development, working on the compiler and run-time libraries for every release of VS COBOL II, COBOL for OS/390 & VM, and Enterprise COBOL.
Tom is an expert when it comes to understanding migration challenges for Enterprise COBOL and Language Environment on z/OS, and, he understands many of the issues facing IBM mainframe customers.
Tom is also a frequent speaker at user groups and is the IBM representative for COBOL to SHARE in USA and GSE Nordic.
